Job Description (and a brief statement about why your setting is such a great place to work): 16 hours per week term time only or zero-hour contract with extra hours available if required.

We require a qualified, experienced childcare practitioner to join our team of Crèche Supervisors.

You will be qualified to at least Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and have at least two years post qualifying experience of the responsibility of care for children in a crèche, day nursery or similar setting. Experience of working as a key person for babies aged from birth to five years, post qualifying experience with a supervisory level of responsibility and a current paediatric first aid certificate is preferable.

The successful applicant will contribute to a safe, high quality and developmentally appropriate environment for young children, support motivate and help develop other staff working within the room and work in partnership with parents, staff and other professionals.

If you would like to have more information about this post, please contact Tina Little, Crèche Co-ordinator on 01843 591200 There is a responsibility for the organisation of the session, i.e. registration, records, program of events/activities, setting up/cleaning away, cleanliness of equipment and availability of stock as well as the supervision of the Crèche Assistants.

The hours of work will be worked flexibly Monday to Friday to cover commissioned crèches and other supervisory duties. Whilst the majority of work is during term time, there may be opportunities for additional work during the holiday periods. It is essential that the successful candidates have a flexible attitude to working hours and location of work, hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a car for work.
